Was introduced to the hobby in 2008 by friends & ordered myself a “starter” ACE 250 from Garrett.

In October 2008 I gave detecting a start and never looked back!

I realise there are stacks of other models to choose from but moneywise I’v been happy & relatively successful with it.

This is an every weekend outing, sometimes after work if the weather is good / tides etc.

I love the outdoors; camping hiking etc.

In Port Elizabeth, where I dig, the hobby as yet is not very well known, with a regular following of about 6 or 7.

These are a dedicated bunch so they keep the beaches CLEAN.
